Rendez-vous is mostly about the mimosa. If you’re not familiar: Mimosa is a powdery floral with a honeyed sweetness. The cap of this bottle is yellow-ish, and that really fits the feel of the fragrance. I picture a field of yellow flowers on a Summer day , with the pollen in the air, almost tangible.
The scent leans hard into the floral elements (there’s also rose, jasmine, violet and orange blossom listed) and I get green and pink hints through the yellow. I’ve heard that mimosa can come across a bit like raspberry and I that’s something I can imagine in Rendez-Vous, possibly also from the jasmine. The green is like the stems of flowers; it’s fresh, but slightly vegetal or even chewy.
As it dries down, it gets sweeter. There’s almond, vanilla and tonka listed and those definitely come through more. It remains floral first though, but it does make the wear a bit less bright than in the opening hour.

Texture and projection really define Rendez-Vous for me. As I mentioned earlier, there’s a palpable powdery texture. It projects quite heavily at first, in a way a bright green vetiver or slightly heady floral can do. It creates an image of (too much) bloom lighting in video games in my mind, if that makes any sense.
Overall, it’s vivid and radiant. It’s great, but at the same time I wonder how it will wear on my skin in high heat; as someone who’s not big on green and heady, it might push it over the top. As of now, it’s very manageable and I think it’s a great scent. I’m also loving the 30ml option at a very affordable price point.
