I didn’t expect to like this to be honest, it was just an interesting swap that I happen to come across. It’s a sweet and floral scent. It lists sugar as a note, which is why I kept my expectations low, being weary of sugary, Baccarat Rouge 540-esque scents.
It’s actually pretty solid though, but definitely heavy on the feminine leaning side, with a powdery texture. It opens with something in between wood shavings and caramel. It’s quite gourmand straight away. At first the caramel vibe that I get is more syrupy and there’s even a salted aspect. You definitely get a rose scent as well, but it’s not as strong as I expected it to be.
Then it quickly became more powdery and vanillic. It’s too sugary and candy-like for my taste, but the floral and woody aspect is really nice.
I only wore this twice and I didn’t take down notes along the wear as I often do when I share my impressions, but I think the general direction is clear. The quality was nice and the performance seems to be excellent; it’s more of a louder fragrance. I’m interested in checking out more Bois 1920 and I wouldn’t mind smelling Relativamente Rosso on others at all, but it’s not a like for me.
