It’s been a while since I’ve seen a Casamorati get the hype (prior to release) that this Quattro Pizzi has gotten. And based on the notes, I was fairly hyped myself. Unfortunately, that hype was not warranted.
This is a much fresher fragrance than the notes may let on. And especially, a much more conventional and familiar scent profile. Boozy? maybe. Tobacco or hay? maybe. Both are a stretch to my imagination and if I didn’t read the notes, I can guarantee you I would not have named them in this review. Quattro Pizzi seems to be mostly a sweet coconut, with some spices and florals, that becomes a generic sun tan lotion scent within minutes.
One of the most generic sun tan lotion scents to be frank. It’s very pleasant, but I’ve smelled it numerous times. It’s a bit more spicy than some initially, but that fades quickly. It has some floral tinges and it reminds me of the Kilian fluffy sweet-florals in that regards, making this have a more feminine leaning edge. A lot of people so far have remarked on the tuberose, but to me, this is a pretty much nondescript ‘designer’ tuberose/floral that dominated by sweetness.
Less heavy, less intriguing, less like the notes and more feminine leaning is what I got from Quattro Pizzi. Pleasant and if you like coconut-heavy sun tan lotion, it will surely be to your liking, but don’t expect anything out of the norm from this release.
