‘Purpose 50 Royal Drop, which presents the entirety of a Frankincense tree, from leaves to branches to roots. With a combination of the techniques used in the Exceptional Extraits and the Essences, the Royal Drop consist of a perfume that is concentrated at exceptionally high levels and contains alcohol that has been infused for 6 months in purpose-built, oakwood barrels. As a result, this scent takes on a distinctive, roasted-wood scent profile, which lends it an entirely new dimension of smoothness and sophistication. The Royal Drop 1 litre flacon is entirely unique, one-of-a-kind piece, designed by Dimitry Hlinka to evoke the purity of the contours of a drop of incense resin emerging from a tree. The mould inside which each bottle is created – through an age-old, hand-blowing technique – has to be destroyed in order to release the flacon, which means it can never be used again. A true collector’s item, to be treasured for years to come (…) The Tent, Amouage’s petite boutique at Harrods’ Salon De Parfums, will showcase all of the House’s offerings, from the Eaux de Parfum, to the Attars and the Exceptional Extraits, as well as the Essences, with their unique, double-infusion creation process. The petite boutique will also showcase Harrods-exclusive compositions, housed in bespoke flacons. The Tent will be the only place in the world where clients will be able to view and purchase the House’s Royal Drops.’ – Amouage
