I had smelled No. 12 at an event right after it launched and to be honest, I didn’t like it on first impression at all. After Papilio (also by Nathalie Feisthauer) being my favorite release of 2023, I had to come back to No. 12 to re-assess.
In short: This is still not really a favorite, because it’s quite green, but it’s an interesting and complex mix. I found this one hard to pinpoint.
A lot of the flowers smell kind of dusty. Quite pronounced fruits, some green florals that stand out, but the others less vibrant. More muted than some of the other vintage-y florals by Puredistance. Citrus stands out more than some florals to me in the opening to mid.
As it progresses, this feels a bit smothered in heliotrope, orris. Going in a similar direction as Opardu, although I prefer No. 12.
