      POWER OF YOU (2026) • ARMANI🔺, ScentAdvice

Power Of You marks a new chapter for Armani, although it’s not all that different in style from what you’ve come to expect, for example from the My Way collection. That said, Power of You is rather nice and I prefer it over most, if not all, of the Stronger With You releases that it seems to position itself alongside of.

This one is not all that difficult to describe. You mostly get vibrant, thick and sweet fruit; passion fruit is listed, but it reads like mango to my nose. And vanillic sweetness, which overtakes after some hours, but is very much present from the first moment.

And it works really well. For my taste, it definitely gets too sweet; I wish the fruits were brighter and sharper, to cut through the sweetness, but they start blending in and being sweet themselves almost instantly. Overall, it borders on being cloying, but at least the mango-ish scent stays noticeable for several hours; it’s not one of those ‘fruity for 5 minutes before becoming all vanilla’ fragrances. You get a hint of sun tan lotion here; not really a floral frangipani. It feels like a non-complex fruit-vanilla with minor details (and totally unisex).

I think my mind went to mango, because the scent made me think of Stephane Humbert Lucas Mango Kiss; but whereas that is very dry and powdery, Power Of You has a texture closer to marshmallow; it’s dense, but soft. It wears really nicely actually. Not as screechy, loud and in-your-face as a lot of current designer releases, but still rather hefty.

It probably helped that I wore it alongside Yves Saint Laurent Libre Berry Crush, which did not smell like fruits or vanilla or coconut; things that Power Of You does much, much better. Here you do actually get a vanilla-like scent, with some of a coconutty, sun tan quality. The fruits are as mentioned before, not as refreshing as I’d hoped, but it definitely has a prominent fruitiness.

Passionfruit and vanilla, in a trendy sweet, solid wearing style. I can imagine this becoming a huge success and I wouldn’t be mad at that at all. Probably my favorite Armani since 2023’s My Way Parfum. I will be reviewing 2025’s Si Parfum soon after, which seemed really nice (and similar?) in store, as well as the newly announced My Way Sunny Vanilla, to see how those compare.
