Pomander is my absolute favorite release from Eauk, a Dutch fragrance house that flies a bit more under the radar than it should in my opinion.
It’s hard to describe the opening; I get a lot of lemon(grass), but also a sweeter fruitiness, like orange. I get the caraway and a bit of pepper, but it’s mostly fruity and balsamic. It has a softer texture than you might expect from lemon and pepper and in the drydown it becomes clear why. This turns into a resinous amber, second-skin type fragrance with a soft vanilla and cacao scent.
There’s quite the transition and the longevity is formidable for a natural scent with this texture. Definitely full bottle worthy in my opinion (and the Eauk bottles are beautiful and affordable).
