‘The beauty of bold Virginia nuts ensconced in sandy soils and fields of crumbling shells. America’s favorite nut (I know – legume), peanut is rarely used in perfume. But all parts of the plant are interesting to me. The soft dirty shells, the fatty earthy nut, the dark skins, the leaves in the field. I took an accord of peanut, expanded it with soft strokes of gourmand notes, earthy tones, toasty woods, a grassy vetyver. It’s a drive through fields of dried plants and soft shells, but really it’s all about the nut!’ – D.S. & Durga
