The Hermetica line has not impressed me too much overall, but Sandalsun is very underrated and next in line for my favorite would be this Patchoulilight (terrible naming though).

At first it’s very reminiscent of Frederic Malle Portrait Of A Lady‘s drydown. A more patchouli heavy rose fragrance with a lovely vibrancy. Patchoulilight honors its nice by introducing the bigger dose of patchouli straight off the bat. You pretty much skip the opening hour and start a bit further into the wear.

It’s not as fruity and jammy as Portrait Of A Lady, but it has an equal amount of sweetness. I’d argue that Portrait Of A Lady is 100% unisex, but I know some men find the opening too feminine leaning for their taste; in that case I think Patchoulilight leans more in their direction.

Versatility is good here and you get a well-priced, alcohol-free perfume.
