‘A SENSUAL AND WOODY INTERPRETATION OF PATCHOULI Patchouli Paris reveals a facet of the French capital never before explored by the House: the magnetism of Parisian nights. Uninhibited, patchouli puts on a show. A dazzling contrast between the immediate freshness reminiscent of the banks of the Seine and the intoxicating warmth of a woody note of patchouli, evoking the effervescence of the Parisian party air and the woodwork of the grand theaters. – Guerlain (translated)
‘With Patchouli Paris, I wanted to capture the soul of the Parisian night…to express this audacity, and reveal its perfume, the Seine that reddens and pulsates, in a fresh and lively shiver of aldehydes and musks. I wanted to express the vibration of the streets that are ablaze on a festive evening, in a wake of powdery and woody iris. Dizzy with music and freedom, to express the glances that seek each other and the skins that magnetize each other in an overdose of patchouli and vanilla. That night I captured Paris in a bottle.’ – Delphine Jelk (translated)
