‘Is inspired by Papilia Efiko which means Butterfly Effect in Esperanto. Just like the butterfly effect – a property of chaotic systems by which small changes in primary conditions can lead to great-scale and unpredictable variation in the future state of the system– one individual’s action eventually will affect the flow of the whole world. Any small action taken would trigger other actions that would be followed by greater consequences. Through its adventurous and galvanized aromas of the world, this scent is intended to provoke and spark the desire to act.’ – Nishane
If Tero isn’t my favorite from this particular collection by Nishane, then Papilefiko sure is. Although, neither can live up to their absolute best, like Ani or Nefs.
It has the interesting combination of sweet and aromatic, with lavender and fir, but also a lot of sweetness that’s not listed in the notes. It actually reminds me quite a lot of Tom Ford’s discontinued For Men Extreme, which is a favorite of mine.
Another great fragrance that it gets compared to by others is Penhaligon’s Halfeti, which should give you an idea. This combination of sweet and minty forest vibe is not too common and doesn’t always work, but in Papilefiko it works like a charm. It’s rather green (more so than the Tom Ford), quite herbal, but the sweetness makes it so that I enjoy it more than I would otherwise.
I think this one smells the most natural and quality from this Nishane line to me and Ropion proves that he rarely fails.
