Black Pepper

On first impression Painter seems to be deceivingly subtle, because in fact, it’s performance wasn’t as bad as I initially thought. It’s to do with the style of scent here and it’s very reminiscent of Essential Parfums Bois Imperial to my nose.
You get a spicy, crisp, fresh opening with the pepper and a clean woodiness, that moves more and more into vetiver as it dries down. Scent-wise, it won’t blow your socks off, but I do think it captures the idea of a painter pretty well and it’s a pleasant and versatile scent. If you like Bois Imperial or clean vetiver scents like Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, give Painter a chance.
