Aerlig is a little known Danish brand and P3 is a gourmand floral that I instantly knew I would like when I sprayed it on. It’s a familiar style (which is the only potential downside to this release) of a soft, powdery floral and vanilla/caramel scent. The only notes listed are rose, orchid, vanilla and praliné as far as I can see, but I’m pretty sure there’s a citrussy floral up top (maybe orange blossom or even some ylang-ylang).
The florals are clearly there, but not distinctly so; it’s a very powdery floral blend in which I can’t pinpoint the flowers on their own. The acidity from the initial minutes fades and it becomes clear how sweet P3 is. I mainly get vanilla. When I think praliné, I think hazelnut, which is not something I really get from this; more so caramel. It’s lovely though; an addictive, gourmand. The sweetness is straight forward and reminiscent of a more powdery Casamorati Lira drydown, combined of course with that more floral nuance.
This scent profile always works in my opinion and P3 is done really well. I also like the price point; the presentation you get for it is simple and the cap is plastic, but it looks okay to me and the atomizer is good.
As mentioned above, the only downside will be the many alternatives for this style. I need to take into consideration that by now I’ve tried more fragrances than the average consumer, but it feels like many brands I’ve tried recently have a similar fragrance in their range (Kilian, Memo, The Gate Paris, Unique’e Luxury and the closest to P3 being Nobile 1942 Perdizione). In my opinion, you can’t really go wrong with either of them and P3 is no different.
