Open Sky was a nice surprise for me, even if it don’t quite like the scent. I was not feeling some of the Byredo releases and I found some quite generic or lackluster. Open Sky at least delivered on making an impression and it left me intrigued.

It opens quite heavy, while at the same time bright. The cannabis note and the pomelo/grapefruit scents are very prominent. The marketing for Open Sky was all about wanting to travel, but honestly, this is not a fragrance that I’d ever want to wear on a plane, or any public transportation for that matter.

A somewhat comparable scent is V/siteur Beach Bizarre. Open Sky has a stronger grapefruit scent and a brighter cannabis scent (versus the mixed fruits and pineapple in Beach Bizarre). The drydown goes more woody. I do not like cannabis, but overall this wasn’t too shabby.
