‘This sparkling, sweet, flowery eau de parfum sublimates an exceptional orange blossom. Sensual, carnal, soothing and modern, this chic, bohemian fragrance with the slogan “Sweetness is strength” is an addictive floral treat for all seasons.’ – M. Micallef
O Feminin is a 2024 M. Micallef release, that I opted to highlight over the more masculine leaning DesirToxic L’Intense. So, how does O Feminin fair.
For starters, I made the right call, as I prefer this over DesirToxic L’Intense. O Feminin is a scent profile that most of us will be quite familiar with and in that sense, this isn’t groundbreaking, but is done very well though and it wears like a charm.
Petitgrain, neroli, citrus and floral. Sharp, and acidic with some green touches, but mostly citrussy up top. Give it a couple of minutes and the floral nuances become stronger with neroli and orange blossom being the notable ones to my nose. For a moment this seems to go in the familiar sweet and cozy orange blossom direction, but I find that the petitgrain is resilient in O Feminin.
Making for an interesting ‘clash’ between the harsher, greener, leafy and rind-like aspects and the soft, petals and vanilla. It makes for a greener, more natural smelling orange blossom, than some others in this style, but still very creamy in texture. And I like the scent of the vanilla here too; it actually smells like vanilla, not cheap or like pure sugar as in too many recent releases that I’ve tried.
If you’re looking for a quality floral fragrance that’s sweet and green at the same time, O Feminin is one to look out for.
