‘Lingering in emotions with the audacity of Grapefruit and the handsqueezed notes of Pomplemousse, Bergamot, Mandarin and Cannabis. Matching class with bravoure as hints of Mimosa, Pink Pepper and Clary Sage set the scene. And even comes with a bottle that mirrors the subtle extravagance that belongs to this modern day classic.’ – Fugazzi
NoCologne was a pleasant surprise. The house of Fugazzi hadn’t wowed me as much as I hoped yet (given that it’s from my home country), but NoCologne gets a thumbs up.
I believe part of the concept for this one is that it turns the ‘cologne’ style which is usually 0-5 or max. 10% concentration to 30% (extrait) concentration. Now, this is a lot sweeter and fruitier than most traditional ‘eau de colognes ‘. Still a bit sharp, but much more tart and tangy than actually sparkling, with ginger and grapefruit being very prominent to my nose.
Cannabis as well, but luckily for my taste, mostly citrussy, a bit heady, but not overly strong on the cannabis note. Not unlike History Mexican Cactus that I tried shortly before this one.
If you want a loud citrus, with a hint of aromatics in the base, this is a great one. It’s not often you get good performance out of citrus and frankly, it does smell a bit harsh here too, but you’ll not find much better options that stay projecting as long. And project it does, it definitely behaves a bit like a cologne still in that regards.
Probably not the fragrance to get if you’re looking for a traditional masculine cologne, with more aromatics, greener tinges. They are in NoCologne, but I would describe this is a (grape)fruity fragrance 100%.
