‘Be transported to the heart of Sicily with Naxos, where top notes of fresh bergamot, lemon and lavender lead to an inspiring heart of cinnamon, honey and cashmere. Xerjoff Naxos is steeped in heritage with a contemporary twist. This classically Italian scent is a bright and brilliant breath of fresh air. Grounding base notes of Tobacco, tonka and vanilla beans add an earthy, woody undertone. Naxos by Xerjoff is a tribute to the grandeur and glamour of our home country.’ – Xerjoff
Unfortunately I can’t find my original Naxos review, so I’ll keep it short and hopefully I’ll revisit this page one day.
Naxos is one of the most hyped Xerjoff releases and one that almost anyone that dives into niche gets introduced to in their first year. Which is understandable, because it is a great sweet tobacco scent, but for me it doesn’t trump several others (especially Parfums de Marly Herod, and Roja Parfums Enigma Pour Homme).
The honey is the factor separating Naxos from those named above, but it does place it right in the same territory as Mugler Pure Havane. The later released Guerlain Tobacco Honey is a rawer, rougher take on the honey, that I think I appreciate a bit more, but Naxos is definitely more mass appealing than the Guerlain.
