In exploring how to capture the depth of such a terrain, we were guided by four primary scent accords—drawing inspiration from the sacred significance of the number four in Navajo philosophy: “Spirits Accord” featuring incense woods and spice, “Healing Accord” with medicinal herbs and native botanicals, “Tanning Accord” with animalic, well-worn leather and dark fruits, and the “Southwest Wildflower Accord” with sun-drenched wildflowers from regional valleys and peaks.
