‘An addictive fruity and floral expression, born from the contrast between juicy pear and creamy radiant tuberose. This modern and floral Eau de Parfum from Armani for women is timeless and elegant. My Way Nectar captures the essence of enchantment in an intoxicating composition. The top note reveals a refreshing fusion of Bergamot Heart Calabria, juicy Pear and the intoxicating scent of Orange Blossom. The heart features the powerful Tuberose Absolute, accompanied by Jasmine Grandiflorum Superinfusion and a hint of Violet Accord. The base embraces the senses with sustainably sourced Bourbon Vanilla from Madagascar, enveloped by warm Cedarwood and a subtle addition of White Musk. These harmonious fragrance notes create a timeless aura of irresistible elegance.’ – Armani
I was never into the My Way collection, until the release of My Way Parfum (2023), which was a surprisingly fun take on the DNA, with more iris, a citrussy opening and a (too) sweet drydown that I could forgive in its playfulness. It was one of my favorite designer releases of 2023. With Nectar, Armani goes back to a more traditionally feminine leaning floral and a fruitier opening, while retaining that youthful & playful essence. Definitely a big step down for my taste, although I could see why people enjoy it.
Very fruity in the opening, the pear and citrus combination stands out. Not a similar sweet citrus as in Le Parfum, and also not exactly like the opening of the OG My Way, but really the more pronounced fruitiness from pear. Think of a ripe pear, not sharp, not overly acidic. This doesn’t last long, but it’s pleasant.
Followed by a generic, soft petal-like floral accord. Less heavy on the jasmine and tuberose as I remember the original My Way being, yet more floral than Le Parfum. By chance, I wore My Way Nectar alongside Guerlain’s Florabloom, which also has a heart of jasmine, tuberose and violet and they are about equally safe and nondescript.
As it dries down, My Way Nectar becomes simple, light and easy to wear as a musky, youthful and strongly feminine leaning floral skin scent. A plus for me is that it doesn’t get nearly as sweet as the Le Parfum or a lot of releases in this style. On the other hand, it’s basic and you’ll probably be able to find very similar fragrances already.
