‘The Perfume of the Month for May is a vintage-inspired Muguet fragrance. It is designed around a historic perfumery base from the early 1900s, created by Henri Robert of Coty called Muguet des Bois. It is a complex, woody, and ambery floral scent that centers around Lily of the Valley, also known as the muguet accord. Lily of the Valley must be created as an accord in perfumery, as all parts of the actual plant are poisonous. Lily of the Valley is associated with May because King Charles IX of France passed through the town of Valence on May 1, 1560, and was given a bouquet of Lily of the Valley. It is also the birth flower for those born in May.‘ – Darren Alan
