This fragrance is mostly not as dark or bold as I was expecting based on what I read about it. It is however, very nice.

The tea note here is slightly smoky, but from the start very sweetened as well. I don’t get any bitterness or actual tea leaf from Mountain Memories, but a sweet soothing cup of tea instead.

This has a clean, maybe even herbal, woody facet to me, that combined with the transparent texture, creates a cozy and zen-like experience. Yes, it has a relatively substantial tea, it has woodiness, but it is not as ‘warm and deep’ as the description suggests on my skin. It takes me mentally to a misty bathroom after a hot herbal bath or shower; but sweeter.

Leather and guaiac are listed, but if they’re there, they are as subtle and softened as possible. This scent feels clean and modern; basically ‘Nordic design’ in a bottle.

Lovely scent however and perhaps on par with Porcelain Pulse, which made a first great impression on me as well.
