‘Imagine if the world had only one meeting point, where this place would be? Mood Canvas reflects the dual face of İstanbul. It reflects day and night, the beauty and the ugly. A magical canvas manages to change the mood with its spiritual aura while taking inspiration from the diversity of the city and people. A bold woody incense represents cultures enhanced by a duo of pink and black pepper with a sweet ambery touch and a gourmand caramel. In order to create more than an incense fragrance, addictive Turkish Coffee and a hint of smoke brings a mystical dimension to cardamom flavored chamomile. Mood Canvas gives the wearer the feeling of being protected by a precious haze.’ – Seven Gates
I originally picked 4 Seven Gates to wear on skin and Mood Canvas didn’t make the cut. I ended up applying it afterwards anyway and it turned out to be one of my top favorites from the 6 I wore so far.
I would say this is a almost solo incense to my nose. Spicy incense, with that typical, plasticy, sweet, but also quirky dimension that frankincense can have. I often don’t love this facet and here too, I have to get passed the first minutes. The longer the wear goes on, the more I enjoy it. And I do end up enjoying Mood Canvas an awful lot. Tingling, fizzy warm incense that grows quite spicy as it dries. I have to say that if anything, this one can be a bit linear and a constant push of a similar scent, but that scent is excellent. Frankincense lovers should keep this on their radar.
