‘Echoing the avant-garde bottle created for this edition, Thierry Wasser and Delphine Jelk deliver here a radical, absolutely contemporary vision of the first fruity chypre in history created in 1919.
With Mitsouko Absolu 17, the two perfumers have completely deconstructed Jacques Guerlain’s masterpiece, proceeding through the purity. Emblematic citrus essence of Guerlain, Bergamot invites itself here in overdose, made even more sparkling by the sparkle of pink berries. The Peach note, so characteristic of the original, turns to Apricot. Round, carnal, it is enriched with Rose absolute and an Iris accord.
Accompanied by an art installation that is reminiscent of a Japanese garden, including a Baccarat crystal bottle containing Mitsouko Eau de Parfum. This exceptional edition signed and numbered, is limited to 8 bottles worldwide. Finally, know that the number seventeen owes nothing to chance since Jeanne Briand wears it tattooed on her fingers like a lucky charm. Seventeen, too, because odd numbers, like skewness, play a major role in the aesthetics of Japanese gardens.’ – iFragrance Official
