As with French Riviera and Jasmin Exclusif, I think Melody Of The Sun is a solid 2022 Mancera release and the house has positively surprised me this year.

Melody of the Sun is your slightly playful, yet elegant citrus-fruit-floral combination. I was actually more surprised by the quality than the style here. Mancera aren’t always known for their subtlety, and I find many of them to be quite harsh. In the case of Melody of the Sun, I think it’s executed very well though and it’s one of the nicest Mancera releases in that regard.

It has a lemon and blackcurrant tea vibe that is instantly very smooth and feels ‘soft’; nothing sharp or acrid, even when the jasmine comes through. It makes for a Summery, youthful and very safe scent, but also one that wears quite beautifully. To me this comes quite close to Louis Vuitton Cactus Garden and Matiere Premiere Cologne Cedrat, although less green and herbal than either of them. The Mancera also tends to lean a bit more feminine and fruity to me.

For the money and the performance, the Mancera is a hard to ignore option.
