‘Melodie de l’Amour is a love song with a unique Floral essence – love absolute! Inspired by the feelings of bliss true love evokes. An unforgettable, sweet floral harmony, redolent with a unique, pure fragrance of gentle seduction. – Pissara Umavijani
Before I had a chance to wear Dusita fragrances on skin, I tried most of the line in store multiple times. Each time, Melodie D’Amour was the one that stood out most to me. At the same time, I was a bit weary of how heavy the white florals would get.
Now I have samples for the entire line from the brand, Melodie D’Amour was the first one to go on skin and I absolutely love it still.
Yes, tuberose is front and center here, but I wouldn’t call it daring, unless you often find white florals troubling. As it dries down this becomes a bouquet of white flowers more than anything else, with jasmine also coming through at times.
There’s an interesting mix of heaviness (for a floral profile), of slightly acidic greenness and of honeyed sweetness.
This is not as honeyed as Rosarine, but it definitely has a quality honey scent here that really helps to up the wearability.
It’s not overly indolic. I can agree with some reviews I saw that mentioned a slight gasoline-like tinge, but contrary to those opinions, I find it rather pleasant. A good mix of relatively tamed white florals, but a notch above your average generic ones.
