Do you like matcha? Then this might not be for you. Maison Margiela has a pretty mediocre line in my opinion (Jazz Club being my favorite), but Matcha Meditation is quite nice and cozy.

What it’s not per se, is matcha. I definitely get a matcha latte vibe for a couple of minutes, but scent loses the matcha essence rather quickly. Perhaps it’s like a really strongly sugared and milky matcha latte.

If you’re expecting a bitter, green matcha, this will probably be way sweeter than you expect. If you expect a gourmand, this will lean a bit green. Kind of similar to the ‘in-between space’ that the Kayali Pistachio sits in.

I do like my lactonic fragrances and this is a really soothing milky scent. I bought it mainly to wear on a Summer’s evening at home or on a self-care Sunday.
