‘Beautifully crafted with multiple facets, masculin Pluriel is a soft and sensual fragrance for men that moves beyond fashion. Pluriel Maison Francis Kurkdjian eau de toilette for men is based on a fougere accord, a classic in men’s fragrances, which is reinterpreted in a timeless version. The scent is balanced by a deep lavender absolute from Provence and a soft leathery accord structured with cedar from Virginia, patchouli from Indonesia and vetiver from Haiti. This woody men’s fragrance, Pluriel Maison Francis Kurkdjian, challenges time constraints in the search for the everlasting.’ – Maison Francis Kurkdjian
The opening of Masculin Pluriel is more on the barbershop side, but very modern in styling. It reminds me of Zaharoff Signature Pour Homme, but it doesn’t go as sweet or fruity (so I prefer the Zaharoff personally in that stage). This is a bit more traditional of a fougere. There’s a hint of chocolate-like patchouli and a sharper lavender.
Masculin Pluriel shines in its drydown in my opinion. It smooths out and at the same time the leathery base comes through. Awesome release overall, but Zaharoff is still my favorite in this style.
