Terenzi has released a lot of fragrance (and a lot of them I haven’t tried, especially in their higher end lines). For me it’s surprising how many of the ones in the round bottles like Orion or the square bottles like Maremma, which I both have owned, are clearly clones of popular fragrances and nobody seems to acknowledge it. Off the top of my head Terenzi has a version of Black Orchid, Aventus, Baccarat Rouge 540, Black Afghano, Portrait Of A Lady, Erba Pura, Straight To Heaven… You get good performance for a decent price with these lines, but it’s questionable for a brand with Terenzi’s status in the community if you ask me (they have more interesting stuff in their unfortunately much higher priced collections).
Maremma reminds me a lot of Tom Ford Black Orchid. It’s a little easier to wear; it has the earthy, vegetal quality of Black Orchid, but it’s ever so slightly sweeter and brighter. I get a lot of powdery chocolately patchouli during the wear and it’s one of the most sensual scents. It’s a tad more powdery than Black Orchid, especially the later released Black Orchid Parfum.
Value for money is excellent, seeing how this is a 100ml Extrait de Parfum that will last you a long time. However for the money, I’d go for Spirit Of Kings Altair as a smoother Black Orchid alternative.
