‘you found me…lostinflowers (Lost In Flowers)
lostinflowers evokes the thrill of new love, capturing that electric moment of discovery when two destined wanderers finally collide: lost in time, lost in romance, lostinflowers. This compelling scent is ethereal and profound, filled with intoxicating joy of pure floral essences. An innocent yet seductive blend, lostinflowers combines the gentle purity of jasmine, the euphoria of champaca, the power of gardenia enfleurage, the striking richness of saffron, and the deep magnetism of rare oud.’ – StrangeLove

Lostinflowers has to be the Strangelove that I find the hardest to gage; it’s not beating Meltmyheart, but it’s argabuly my second favorite. My perception of this one changes constantly and I always strongly prefer it in the air over smelling it up close.

I get a strong sense of lily-of-the-valley here; a bit sweetened. In general this fragrance has a lot of both sweetness and acidity to my nose; I end up preferring the acidity.

To be honest, in my mind, everything in Lostinflowers feels like it has two contradicting sides. Not just sweet and sour. It feels juicy and dusty at once. Fresh and decaying.

It grows a bit creamy for a while. There’s a density and heft to it (the oud?) and the lily of the valley remains the most forward scent on my skin; a note I rarely like, but the sweeter take here or combination with other florals works really well.

Someone on Fragrantica said it nicely: ‘wonderfully unsettling’. I personally would prefer this without the unsettling part and have it just be a pretty floral bouquet, but that would also make it less interesting, less worth the money and less ‘Strangelove’, so I’m wrong

That being said, for me the citronellol-esque high-acidity citrus edge of florals wins over the composition for a good part. And I have to reference Jazeel Ghala for a third time in reviewing Strangelove NYC, but I feel that this citrus floral side of Lostinflowers shares a resemblance to the one in Ghala quite a bit.

One that I feel like I could wear 10 more times and still not land on a solid conclusion, aside from saying that I do like it.
