‘Los Ojos De Tu Piel , the second fragrance in the Liquid Architecture collection , is based on a project that poses a complicated but stimulating counterpoint: the conversion of an industrial building into the offices of a company that manages gas stations, located on the edge of the Santa Pola salt flats. The result is a multisensory space that represents all the senses, including the smell-taste pairing. Each fragrance in the collection is based on architectural designs and not only seeks to convey architecture through the sense of smell, but also integrates architectural concepts into the bottle design, exploring aesthetics, composition, materiality, balance, and the creative process.’ – Woha (Translated)
Despite the very interesting notes, this fragrance smells somewhat familiar; at least, more than I was expecting. And it’s not much to my taste. I sampled it alongside Calahorra, which I find the more intriguing and preferred of the two.
Los Ojos De Tu Piel has this mix of aquatic, almost herbal freshness and an unnatural anise-like sweetness. A hint of liquorice, but mostly watery, but opaque, pale green-ish. Think in the direction of liquors like Ouzo or Ricard.
As time passes, it grows quite sweet, almost sugary, but disolved in aromatic tinged water with a chlorine/plasticy undertone. Not bad by any means, but not up my alley.
