To my nose, Los Angeles is a rich, overripe, almost syrupy pineapple, combined with a minty sea breeze and quite a smokey accord. The minty edge gives the fragrance it’s freshness, as opposed to the fruit.
It’s not comparable to Mancera Cedrat Boise for example, where I feel the citrus adds the freshness, nor does it remotely relate to Creed Aventus, which people instantly think about when pineapple is listed. Instead it gives me the same feeling that Strangers Parfumerie Salted Green Mango provides. But Los Angeles is richer, smokier and sweeter. A bit too sweet to be a favorite for me.
It’s an exciting wear, at times compromising on comfort in favor of wow factor.
