Initio has rarely impressed me and Lift Me Up isn’t doing much to change that.
It’s a somewhat pleasant sweet and very powdery, pulpy scent. The opening especially leans heavily into a fluffy sun-tan like scent with hints of peachy yellow florals. It grows a bit too sweet for my taste, with a classical heliotrope-nuttiness.
As it dries down, white musks take over, making the scent surprisingly more clean as time goes on; almost to the point that it feels like a simply unbalanced creation with a heavy-handed musky base.
Pleasant for what it is, but quite basic and underwhelming. The type of fragrance that I’d be okay with if it was presented as a 25$ Sol de Janeiro-esque body mist, but for what Initio is offering, it’s a miss.
