‘L’Homme aux gants created by Titien inspired to Nathalie Feisthauer a very serene and melancholic creation. Nutmeg, patchouli and vanilla invite you to a journey of introspection. The benzoin, the musk and the woody notes give a sacred atmosphere to this fragrance.’ – MDCI
Just a short first impression on L’Homme Aux Gants, as I forgot to make notes while wearing it. This was a nice, warm fragrance from MDCI; a brand I’ve only smelled a couple of fragrances from and L’Homme Aux Gants was quite different from those others.
This felt a lot more accessible and cozy than the notes may suggest. It’s mostly compared to Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille. To my nose, it was a bit of a mix of SDV and something along the lines of Parfums de Marly Herod. If I didn’t know the notes, I probably would’ve guessed there was a tobacco note.
Definitely on the ambery side with spices. Not just nutmeg, but more cozy. For me it’s not as bright as SDV or for example Casamorati Bouquet Ideale that some have likened it to as well.
A nice fragrance, although it didn’t really stand out for me during my first wearing.
