‘”Le Trou 19 du Phare” opens with the boldness of Black Pepper and an aromatic blend, leading into a heart of Black Leather and Cinnamon. The fragrance deepens with a base of Haitian Vetiver, Patchouli, and Cedarwood, creating an intriguing, spicy, and woody scent.”Le Trou 19 du Phare” is a tribute to friendship, tradition, and the timeless spirit of Biarritz.’ – Eight & Bob
Le Trou 19 is easily my least favorite of the 4 new Eight & Bob’s that launched in 2025.
For a brief moment, there’s a blast of fruitiness, reminiscent of Creed Aventus and Mancera Cedrat Boise, before it gets overtaken by a greenish, screechy leather. I still feel like it has some berry-like fruitiness akin to Aventus, but it’s as if it took all the lesser parts of Aventus and highlighted those.
It makes for a more masculine leaning, cologne-style leather that feels like it could be a 90’s ‘Sports’ flanker. I didn’t get along with it.
