When I visited the Celine boutique in Paris, I brought back some samples (in 2022 they finally started to ship internationally). One that I really enjoyed was La Peau Nue.

The fragrance name translates to ‘bare skin’ and it’s not hard to see why. It’s a beautiful musky vanilla, but it’s very light. I found most of the Celine fragrances nice, but very delicated and too fleeting for their price point; La Peau Nue is definitely no exception to that.

It’s very musky with a rice milk or pudding vibe on top of it. On my skin this was a skin scent straight away and I had a hard time detecting it after 3 hours. You must fall in love with the scent, the presentation and the brand to make this a reasonable value proposition. Black Tie has a little more to offer for me.
