‘I aimed to craft a creamy, velvety musk -rich, textured, powerful and comfortable. The presence of cistus lends a leather-like patina, infusing the musk with a warm, amber quality that carries an almost animalicallure. I then layer in a touch of vanillin, which envelops it in a luminous, powdery, balsamic veil, creating a comforting embrace. At the heart of the fragrance, I have chosen Bulgarian rose for its richly intense, almost liqueur-like character. To balance this opulence, I introduce a hint of aromatic rosemary at the opening, a prelude to the resinous warmth of cistus that unfolds later. The result is a fragrance that feels both sensual and sophisticated, blending high texture with contrasts and correspondences throughout the composition.’ – Mylene Alran
