Indulge in the deliciously sweet taste of strawberries and mysterious patchouli, enveloped in a seductive Red Rose accord. A fragrance so powerful it will transform even the most turbulent emotions into a powerful feeling of love.’ – News-Parfums

This fragrance is not for subtlety. Especially in the opening hour, this is one of the more vibrant, in-your-face candied, sweet fragrances.
To my nose, the opening recalls wine gums or some sort of hard candy. In particular, in the Netherlands we have wine balls (available at funfairs), a sort of sweet candy cane, but with some depth. This gives Rouge Drama a nostalgic charm to me, even thought it’s absolutely not the type of fragrance that I usually appreciate.
Everything is vibrant. Strawberry yes, but it’s basically like a strawberry liqueur. I think it helps that the texture isn’t as dry as in a lot of contemporary fragrances; it feels more liquid and jammy. It somehow blends youthful candied notes with a less common full-bodied feeling. As vibrant as contemporary Rabanne Fame In Love, but a notch more mature. One of the richer strawberry notes, but… only very briefly so.
As the wear progresses it loses that intensity and it becomes a tad more floral; nicer to wear. I mentioned liqueur and while I don’t know if I would say there’s a particular boozy scent, it kind of wears like a boozy scent on my skin; powerful for a few minutes, but evaporating quickly. Frankly, I can’t recall/describe the later drydown as well as I’d like to.
Either way, this is not for me, at all, but if you’re looking for a more fruity (opening) Tresor, this could be up your alley. For me overall, it’s on par with Fame In Love for a late 2025/early 2026 strawberry theme.
