‘In the Vessantara Jataka, there is mention of a wondrous beast known as Kraisorn Rachasri, a mighty lion whose mane, lips, tail, and claws blazed red like a sacred cloth of rattanakampol. It stood as a symbol of power and radiance, an embodiment of strength and glory. In Brahmanic Hindu cosmology, the Sun, or Surya, the foremost among the Navagraha, was said to be created from this very beast. Legend tells that Lord Shiva took six Kraisorn Rachasri, ground them into fine powder, wrapped the remains in a red cloth, anointed them with amrita, and through divine incantation brought forth Surya, the eternal sun, giver of light and life to the world. The sacrifice of these celestial lions became the transformation of flesh into cosmic energy, their power reborn as the blazing sun. This legend inspires Kraisorn, a fragrance crafted to capture the transmutation of a sacred creature into the eternal brilliance of sunlight. The first impression is a surge of vitality, both refreshing and searing, as kaffir lime, lemongrass, cardamom, and cumin ignite the air. These sharp, herbal-spiced notes rise with a green intensity laced with heat, like sparks erupting from the earth itself. It is the shattering burst of dawn, the piercing rays of sunlight breaking through the horizon, carrying both chill and flame in one unstoppable motion. As the blaze steadies, the heart unfolds with profound warmth. Ash, saffron, plai, sandalwood, and cedarwood weave together like a ritual fire smoldering into glowing embers. Saffron casts golden threads of bittersweet radiance, while plai and Thai herbs exhale a heat that is tender, restorative, and enduring. Sandalwood and cedar stand tall as pillars of fragrant wood, grounding the fire into form. Here the flame is no longer destructive but transformative, turning pain into strength, dissolution into rebirth, as though all things are ripening within the furnace of the cosmos. In its final descent, the fragrance anchors into a foundation that is steady and sacred. Cistus, suede, vetiver, vanilla, and incense smolder with mystery, cloaking the air in a warmth like an eternal flame. Cistus and incense breathe the smoke of ancient temples, vetiver roots deep into the soil as a pillar of the earth, suede lends a supple strength like sunlight wrapping the world, and vanilla lingers with a gentle sweetness, the mercy of the sun that burns yet also nurtures. Kraisorn is thus a journey: from the first burst of solar light, through the sacred blaze of sacrifice and renewal, to the rooted foundation of smoke, earth, and eternal warmth. It is the fragrance of Surya himself, the unyielding power of the sun, radiant, transformative, and everlasting.’ – Siam1928
