I really enjoyed trying out I Am Darkness and especially loved Majnoon, courtesty of the brand. So I ordered some of the other Azman samples myself, to explore the house further. Killer Vavoom came recommended by several people, so it was one of the picks.

Killer Vavoom was an instant like for me, with its huge dose of chocolate. I was instantly reminded of Majnoon, with it’s dark, sweet, syrupy core and fruity tinge (the plum adds a nice tinge). Killer Vavoom feels a bit more ‘open’ and transparent and it has more brightness, making for a lighter wear. It doesn’t have the smokiness of Majnoon either, but more of a full-on chocolate opening.

As it dries, it becomes more fruity to my nose; like a fruity, chocolate-tinged cotton candy, with a hint of florals. Quite sugary in its sweetness, as opposed to the thicker chocolate from the opening. It also grows rather powdery, with the iris coming through strongly (not as much or identical, but reminiscent of Miyaz Iris Cacao). The base is not as heavy as I expected, with no leather reaching me on first impression.

I definitely enjoy this one, although I’d pick Majnoon over Killer Vavoom on first impression for sure.
