‘I really wanted to redefine what a juicy scent is. Juice Expressive centers around succulent, vibrant fruits, but the ingredients I paired them with are what make this scent unique. It’s an explosive, colorful, unconventional twist on the juicy, fruity fragrance profile.’ –Nathalie Benareau
A short impression, because I didn’t take notes while wearing it (it was my brother’s bottle). But I wanted to give my thoughts, as I was pleasantly surprised with it.
Juice opens very tart. You get berries, but also a lot of citrus. It’s zesty and sharp. As the brand mentioned; very vibrant. It has the tartness of a Atelier des Ors Pink Me Up, but I think it wears nicer for longer in Juice. I was ready for a harsher, more woody or warmer base, but to my surprise, it stayed pretty fresh with more of a white muskiness coming through. At times I was reminded of the bright lychee-rose-musk from Superfumista Infra Rose, which I love. On the other hand, rhubarb as an actual scent if not all that prominent to me, which was another positive.
Overall, very pleased on first impression and I have a feeling that this Expressive version would likely be the right balance for what I like.
