Jersey is another good one from Chanel and it’s unmistakably ‘Chanel’.
The opening is the most interesting part of Jersey. The lavender is clean, soft and smooth. I’m not always a fan of lavender, but I love the way it smells here. There is a slight floral tinge, but what does it for me probably, is the sweetness.
Jersey is very sweet; vanilla and tonka are listed and it takes about 5 minutes on my skin for them to take the center stage, maybe even pushing the lavender and herbal touches out of their way.
I’ve read a lot of reviews that liken Jersey to fabric, clean linen, fresh type of scents and while I get that initially; I wonder now if my sample has gotten significantly sweeter or if those reviewers only experienced the first minutes. Surely, there is the clean musky vibe throughout, but it smells really far into the vanilla territory to be considered that type of scent for me.
In particular; after a while I get a chewy violet-marshmallow from Jersey. It’s a Chanel that I appreciate, although I would prefer it on a woman more so than on myself.
