Jasmin Bonheur was quite a nice, very jasmine-focused fragrance to me, although the drydown left me wanting something else.
For some reason I anticipated a very easy going, sweet, smooth jasmine in the style of Le Labo Jasmin 17 perhaps. Not sure why I expected that, but I was wrong.
This is a lively, vibrant, quite natural heady and floral jasmine. Some green hues and a very ‘outdoorsy’ feel. What I love most about this one is the texture; very fizzy, almost grating.
This opening is lovely to me, but the drydown doubles down on the white musky-laundry detergent facet. Keeping the sharp, almost grating jasmine, but adding a distinct ‘cleaning product’ flair that brings the fragrance down a bit.
Overall, still a pretty solid release, albeit definitely not one that I’d be eyeing to add to my collection any time soon.
