Jardins Humanistes is the lightest and safest fragrance in the Anomalia range (as of 2023). It is therefore not as exciting as some others, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s less good.

You can usually count on quality from mr. Duchaufour and he delivers it here. An ultra-soft feeling, petal filled bouquet of fluffy florals. It has the right amount of sweetness, especially in the first hour; not a marshmallow feminine floral as seems popular these days, and not as citrussy, but a sweetened, light as air bouquet. Mimosa seems to add the tiny hint of citrus and sweetness more than anything else.

It feels pulled back. Jardins Humanistes doesn’t have the recognizable old-school touch of gardenia to me, it doesn’t let orange blossom overpower totally like many fragrance with similar notes do either. Nor is the bergamot all that powerful. It’s all in balance and kept to a level where the green hues of the florals still stand out.

All I picture when I smell this are pastel colors, mostly white and green, velvety flower petals in light tones dissolving in a milky consistency.

It does end up a bit sweeter than I’d ideally like for this particular fragrance and with that smells more familiar and generic, but this is a beautiful floral fragrance overall.
