Interlude 53 needs a disclaimer: I never liked Interlude Man or Interlude Black Iris, so I didn’t have high hopes. I was surprised I was wrong, at least partially.

53 is surprisingly different in the first hour. This is the first time I enjoyed the Interlude DNA. It’s much sweeter from the start, really turning it into an amber opening. You still get the smokiness, but it’s without the sharp, spicy punches to the face and especially the oregano didn’t bother me as it did in the original Interlude Man; it’s smooth out out here. Sadly, I hoped it would grow sweeter and sweeter, but it does the opposite on my skin and it ended up becoming too green spicy for my liking. However, I’m still surprised I enjoyed it as much as I did.
