The opening of Indomitable smells exactly like orange hard candies or maybe some off-brand cheap Fanta drink alternative to me.
Quite fruity, but sweet and nothing like actual fruits; it’s a highly concentrated orange syrup. An almost minty tinge on the edge, but overpowered by the sweet citrus.
As it starts to dry, the musky, white linen, laundry vibe becomes prominent. The scent goes unusually… neutral. The citrus fades quickly, the sweetness fades, even the white musk doesn’t feel vibrant or refreshing. It becomes a muted, second skin scent with little to nothing to offer for the wearer.
It doesn’t smell bad mind you, and I’d prefer this take over a cloyingly sweet one, but it smells watered down. This style of musky citrus is nothing that can be found done better in a plethora of other fragrances.
