One cannot talk about Amouage, without talking about incense. Incense Rori is clean, sophisticated and semi-sweet. It’s like (non-gourmand) honey spilled in a winter forest with a hint of a plum or berrries. To me this fragrances comes across as melancholic and calming. While more subtle, the drydown almost reminds me of Interlude 53 and it lasts for an eternity. This is the heart of Amouage on full display and it’s the ‘most Amouage’ and arguably the most intersting release, albeit it not my personal favorite, out of this attar collection.
