‘”Il Giardino dell’Anima” captures the essence of those enchanted nights. The fragrance opens with the bright, sun-kissed freshness of Mandarin, leading into an elegant heart of Jasmine. A unique base of Pistachio adds a warm, gourmand touch, evoking the magic of an Italian summer evening. Encased in a sophisticated bottle, “Il Giardino dell’Anima” is an invitation to experience the beauty of Amalfi Coast.’ – Eight & Bob

Eight & Bob revamped their brand in 2025, with new bottles, merging their collection with the 2 best-sellers from Annicke and adding 4 new fragrances. The most trendy and I would predict, popular, of the new additions is this Il Giardino Dell’Anima. In general, based on my first experience, I much prefer the new ones in this collection over the 4 extraits that the brand released in 2022 and 2024.

While I’m not sure if this would be my favorite of the new quartet, it definitely was one that instantly felt like it could become a hit for the brand. On paper, it smelled fully gourmand; quite straight forward, reminiscent of caramelized biscuits and also a hint of candy. Like a candied Dusita Tonka Latte. On skin, I get a less straight-forward gourmand initially, but eventually, it becomes what I expected.

The opening is more citrussy, but in a candied, sweet citrus way. There is a faint floral hit, but no distinct jasmine or anything to my nose; it’s veering into the gourmand direction slowly, but surely from the get go. And when it reaches the point where the acidity from the opening fades, you’re left with a linear, long-lasting, but well-done gourmand wear. I feel like I get more of a pistachio vibe here than from most fragrances that focus on pistachio. I rarely smell a distinct pistachio and to be fair, I’m not sure if I do here, but it does have a nutty aspect and more importantly, it retains a creaminess, wheareas a lot of nutty perfumes go harsh or airy in my recent experiences.

I don’t love Il Giardino Dell’Anima, but I like it and I think it’s the type of fragrance that Eight & Bob needed. On first impression on paper, Serenite En Bourgogne could give it a run for its money, but I’ll have to get my nose on that again.
