‘Kajal Homme, for a charming, sincere and charismatic person, is the first fragrance for men from the House of Kajal. The scent is rich, graceful, sleek and sexy.’ – Kajal
My first impression on Kajal Homme is that it’s versatile and an inoffensive, office-friendly fragrance. A juicy fruity opening, but I quickly get a lot of cardamom, reminding me of a lighter and fresher Kilian Intoxicated or Zara Intense Dark Exclusive.
Unfortunately the fragrance does not hold up well, at least not as a niche offering at a niche price in my opinion. It’s coming across like a much cheaper, designer-esque scent and I get a plasticy-watery feeling in this that reminded me of something like Nautica Voyage. It’s not a bad smell, albeit fairly generic, but I was disappointed by it overall.
Sidenote: Shout-out to the owners of Kajal, who, after my rather negative review, reached out and sent me two of their other fragrances to try out.
