‘Warm water filtering from your skin, aromatic air, and pleasant calm laughter rising to the dome… HAMMAM; The undeniable pleasure of the clean soap scent. The most perfect form of cleaning, adorned with unique essences. It will make you fall in love with itself again and again with the feeling of purification you will experience every time it meets your skin.’ – Regalien
Regalien released a new trio as the Bath Rituals Collection, with Hammam representing ‘the undeniable pleasure of the clean soap scent’.
And clean it is. Quite green, very soapy. Neroli isn’t listed, but if you like your neroli scents, Hammam will be up your alley.
A faint bergamot citrus adds some acidity to the opening, but for the most part, it’s smooth and subtle. Its texture is what makes Hammam interesting in my opinion; silky smooth, almost milky, kind of what you would expect from a hand soap or body lotion.
Moreover, there’s the slightest bit of sweetness, like an almond soap. As I zoom in, I get more of the white muskiness, veering towards the fresh laundry side, but on the green side. This takes over the drydown.
One of the nicer soapy scents, because of its texture, albeit by nature not the most exciting scent profile. It’s my least favorite of the Bath Rituals collection, with Dem being my clear favorite, followed by the also excellent Efil.
