Grey Vetiver fills the ‘soapy’ spot in my collection nicely, with a soapy vetiver and citrus. There’s a hint of oakmoss, giving it a bit of a traditional vibe, but not too much. The same goes for the spices (nutmeg), adding a bit of a kick to an otherwise squeaky clean fragrance.
This one is perfect to wear to the office or just to wear at home after a shower and it will give you a fresh feeling for a couple of hours. This is nearly identical (I’d say the EDT and EDP both) to Roja Dove Vetiver Parfum Cologne. Seeing how Grey Vetiver is much cheaper and older, I honestly don’t get the popularity of the Roja in recent years. I also prefer Grey Vetiver over Guerlain’s classic Vetiver, which feels a bit more traditional and earthy.
What I’m trying to say is; if you’re looking for a great soapy vetiver fragrance…no need to look further, just get this one. The EDT is heavier on the citrus in the opening, but I think the EDT and EDP are equally good and will give a similar experience. The performance is really solid for the type of scent as well, so no complaints at all, but If you want a stronger, (but also harsher) version give Amouroud Lunar Vetiver a look.
